What do I do when I have a problem with my trading platform?
First thing to do is check your position tab and call your broker
at 800.516.1663 anytime. If your broker is unusually unavailable, then call
312.604.2900 up to 4:30 pm CST.
Can I Trade with An IRA?
Yes, if your IRA trust company does not incorporate futures, then they are other trust companies that are very familiar with IRA futures trading accounts.
Is there a difference in service between a self directed trader and a full service broker?
No, as our name suggests, each client is very important to us and can expect one on one service. The primary difference is that the Self Directed trader is charged a lower commission and does want us to help in finding or making a trading decision.
Do You have Research?
Yes, every client of VIP Futures has access to complimentary research. One of the benefits of the research is that the researcher does a lot of the statistical number crunching that can be helpful to the technical trader and fundamental research that is helpful in determining supply and demand.
What is a CTA?
A CTA is an acronym for commodity-trading advisor. A CTA primarily is a professional trader who works with individual clients who trades their account and is compensated by incentive on new profit and a management fee. What is a Managed Account?

What is a RCG Passport and Archive?
- Passport is a real time account management. You can:
- Monitor Positions: Check specific open positions on an intrady basis.
- Daily Statements: Retrieve and print your daily statement.
- Trade History: View cash balance and transactions for the day.

Can I Trade Options on a Trading Platform?
Yes, on RANOrder, J-Trader, Strategy
Runner, and NinjaTrader.
Do the Online Futures Trading Platforms come with Charting
Yes. Charting is available on most platforms except RAN order. On some platforms there is an additional charge. For Strategy Runner and NinjaTrader, the charts are with the platforms and there is no additional charge for charting. However, there is a platform fee to use the platform.
What are the fees for the Online Trading futures Trading Platform?
Onyx 2 has no fees. Strategy Runner Lite, 50 cents a round turn per trade for Strategy Runner and .50 cents a round turn for PATS feed. There is no fee for the Onyx feed. NinjaTrader charges a quarterly fee for the use of their platform and their is.50 cents a round turn fee for the PATS feed. X Trader charges a monthly fee and there is a platform fee. J-Trader has only .50 cents a round turn for the Pats Feed.
What are the best day trading markets?
Emini S&P, Emini Nasdaq, Emini Russell, US 30 years. The most popular is the Emini S&P. Any market can be day traded but it is important when considering the better market to have a market that is characteristically high in volume and has intra day volatility.
What are VIP Futures margin requirements?
Overnight trades it is exchange minimum generally Day trading is 50 percent of overnight margin.
Note. It is our suggestion when considering margin, to avoid overtrading by not over leveraging the account.
